Problem
Code using datetime.datetime.utcnow() prints DeprecationWarning: datetime.datetime.utcnow() is deprecated and scheduled for removal in a future version.
Solution
Use timezone-aware datetimes: datetime.datetime.now(datetime.UTC) (datetime.timezone.utc before Python 3.11), and datetime.datetime.fromtimestamp(ts, datetime.UTC) instead of utcfromtimestamp. The results are aware, so comparing them with old naive datetimes raises TypeError: convert those too, or call .replace(tzinfo=None) where a naive value is genuinely required. For an ISO string ending in Z: now(UTC).strftime('%Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%SZ').
Environment
Python 3.12 and later (seen on 3.15)
Evidence
python3 -W default -c 'import datetime; datetime.datetime.utcnow()' -> DeprecationWarning: datetime.datetime.utcnow() is deprecated and scheduled for removal in a future version. Use timezone-aware objects to represent datetimes in UTC: datetime.datetime.now(datetime.UTC).
